On July 24, the first Regional Educational Robotics Fair was held. It was organized by the Education Department of El Salvador.
The event was called "Technology and Creativity TECREA" where 112 schools participated with 120 projects about robotics.
This time T-Box began the congress with a presentation by Hugo Aguirre, Executive Director of T-Box Education, addressing the theme "Educational Robotics: 5 key questions".
The presentation was addressed to teachers, computer coordinators and representatives of organizations that support technology training in schools.
The topic was on the definition of educational robotics and its relation to the learning environment, building and programming models and development of various abilities of students.
In addition, he explained about the achievements that this educational resource have from kindergarten to high school students, which develops logical-mathematical thinking, creativity, problem solving skills, learning skills with technological and scientific principles, as well as teamwork.
Hugo Aguirre made several demonstrations with Bee-Bot robots, which are designed for preschool projects.
He also presented Lego WeDo technology from 1st to 3rd grade; Lego NXT from 4th grade onwards and Lego EV3 from 9th grade to high school.
Microsoft Robotics Studio was also presented. It can be used by students from 9th grade through high school and the facilities offered by Arduino technology were presented as well.
T-Box purpose is to implement learning project methods that encourage collaborative learning.
In this context Hugo Aguirre invited participants to be part of the Eighth National Robotics Competition and enroll in the "Challenge 3: Expo Robotics". This competition will be held on October 3rd.

Interamerican School and T-Box El Salvador made the academic agreement to develop the Robotics School program at all levels, providing equipment to preschool and primary students with Bee-Bot technology and Lego WeDo.
Carlos Molina, Executive Director of T-Box El Salvador, and Roberto Abarca, Interamerican School Director, inaugurated the expanded program on T-Box Robotics in the institution.
With this step, students in preschool and primary grades will benefit from the practical application of concepts related to robotics as speed, distance and time; gears, pulleys, force, among others. Logical-mathematical thinking, creativity and teamwork will be enhanced.
Preschool level will have the Bee-Bot equipment. It is a friendly robot and easy to operate for children. Bee-Bot helps students to learn sequences, estimation and problem solving in a fun way.
Likewise, the Lego WeDo technology is incorporated to address the primary grades: 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
This program is established to higher levels with other technologies such as Lego NXT and Microsoft Robotics Studio, also used by high school students.
In this way the institution will develop the teaching strategy of T-Box, which consists of four steps: research, explore, build and apply, in hand with the implementation of T-Box Robotics curriculum acquired by the Interamerican School.
